Sure, the plot doesn't seem like it'll blow anyone away, however it's an easy-to-follow and genuinely interesting story that almost all players would really pay attention to thanks towards the engaging cutscenes. Best coming from all, it stars your character! I always love seeing the dude I created inside of the Final Fantasy XIV Gil 's cutscenes; it may help them to get more personal.
The playerbase in FFXI was pretty great, and it appears as if many of those kinds of players make the transition to FFXIV: ARR also. People are just…nice. I've received many Cures if it looked like I wasn't going so it will be, even though flying solo.
This is epitomized quite well inside the FATEs scattered throughout the map, as no level-appropriate FATE could be taken on FFXIV Gil solo. If it weren't for that pretty visuals and sounds, I'm not sure I'd take pleasure in the combat even just a little bit at the beginning. (Then again, I may have just chosen an incompatible class for my preferences, but my hands were a little tied; see below.)
