Most developers is likely to make a throwaway announcement that may make you double take, chuckle for the few seconds, after which move on, but Grinding Gear Games has gone the full hog and temporarily transformed its free-to-play action RPG Path of Exile right into Buy POE Currency a 100-player battle royale game. Seriously.
"Based on community feedback, were announcing that we've got abandoned the action RPG genre to target what players need. Path of Exile has replaced by Path of Exile: Royale, a 100-person free-for-all battle royale game," it said on its website. It claims which it only took at some point of development to create the switch.
